Don’t get me wrong, I love Top 40 artists. Mainstream music is constantly flowing through my earbuds. And no, I don’t particularly love The Arcade Fire (or “The Suburbs” as many ignorant individuals tweeted last night). But mainstream success does not always equal talent, and just because you’ve “never heard of” an artist doesn’t mean they’re not great.
